Julie Machado nasceu nos Estados Unidos e viveu lá 18 anos. Os seus pais são portugueses e é bilingue. Fez o curso CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) para dar aulas de Inglês como segunda língua e tem mais de cinco anos de experiência com todas as idades desde criança a adulto. Já deu aulas de Inglês no American School of Languages, Kids Club Oeiras, Weltzprachen Instituto de Línguas Modernas, Park Schools e Fun Languages Restelo.

A Julie vive em Lisboa (Lumiar), e também está disponível para aulas presenciais.

Julie Machado was born in California in the United States and lived there for 18 years. Her parents are Portuguese and she is bilingual. She has completed the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) course and has more than five years of experience with all ages, ranging from child to adult. She has taught English at the American School of Languages in Lisbon, Kids Club Oeiras, Weltxprachen Instituto de Línguas Modernas, Park Schools and Fun Languages Restelo. Julie lives in Lisboa (Lumiar) and is also available for classes in person.

Rosa Fontes, Mãe da Julie, é natural dos Açores onde atualmente reside, formou-se em Português e Francês na Universidade de Coimbra tendo lecionado em Portugal continental e Açores durante seis anos. Após esse período, residiu na Califórnia durante 24 anos, tendo-se formado em Inglês como segunda língua e em Espanhol. Leccionou Português, Espanhol e Inglês como segunda língua a nível dos ensinos secundário e universitário, nos Estados Unidos, durante esses 24 anos. Atualmente reside em Angra do Heroísmo, na ilha Terceira, onde ensina presencialmente as quatro línguas acima mencionadas.

Rosa Fontes, Julie´s mother, born in the Azores and currently living there, studied Portuguese and French at Coimbra University. She taught in mainland Portugal and the Azores during six years. Then, she moved to California and lived there for 24 years. She also received certification to teach Spanish and English as a second language and taught at high school and university level in California during those years. She currently lives in Angra do Heroismo, in Terceira, where she teaches the four languages mentioned above at her language center.
